(Photo Courtesy: Wikipedia) Advertisement The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has partnered with Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU) to organize a university hackathon that will see innovators (university students) come up with ICT solutions that can solve agricultural problems.The event is scheduled to run for 5 days beginning 30th July to 3rd August at the UTAMU main campus in Bugolobi. All winners will be awarded at the UTAMU’s annual International Conference on Technology And Management (ICTM) slated for 6th August, 2018 at Silver Springs Hotel – where the Executive Director at UCC; Godfrey Mutabaazi will be the guest of honor.Those that are unaware, the ICTM is a conference that provides a distinctive environment where authors, practitioners, researchers, professionals and academicians from the Technology and Management disciplines can engage in the future developments in terms of service provision. – Advertisement – University students from universities around Uganda including Makerere University, Kyambogo University, Makerere University Business School, Busitema University, International University of East Africa, among others are taking part in the competition.last_img read more
